National Art Honor Society

National Art Society

Since 1978, the National Art Honor Society Programs support student members in their efforts to attain the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service. The South Caldwell High School Chapter of NAHS was chartered in the spring of 2023. Mrs. Cardwell is the Chapter's advisor.

The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is more than “art club.” Students are required to meet eligibility criteria for membership as detailed in your chapter’s constitution and bylaws.

What is the purpose of the SCHS Chapter of NAHS?

  1. Inspire and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art
  2. Foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art
  3. Further creative abilities and talents of the Society’s members, as well as the school’s entire art enrollment
  4. Aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest in an art area
  5. Bring art to the attention of the school and community
  6. Increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum
  7. Further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school’s total program
