While at South, Bumgarner was a standout as a four-year varsity letter recipient in volleyball and has been honored by the North Carolina Softball Coaches Association receiving All-District in each of her three seasons in softball honors (2022, 2023, 2024) as well as picking up All-State honors this past season.
