Katelyn Hester Earns Grant to Support Transition Lab for Special Programs

South Caldwell High School is proud to congratulate Katelyn Hester on being awarded a Blue Ridge Energy grant. This grant will support the development of a Transition Lab for the school’s Occupational Course of Study and Comprehensive Skills programs. The Transition Lab will serve as a dedicated space where students can work on hands-on tasks, build practical work habits, and strengthen the transitional skills they need for life after high school. The goal is to provide meaningful, real-world practice that promotes independence, confidence, and long-term success. This project reflects Katelyn’s commitment to expanding opportunities for students and creating pathways that prepare them for adulthood. The school is grateful to Blue Ridge Energy for investing in a program that will make a lasting difference for our students and community.
